Role overview

The Customer Experience and Sales Specialist role at Vvolt is multifaceted, with a primary focus on driving B2B sales efforts ( approx 60%) and providing stellar customer support (approx 40%.)
You play a critical role in expanding our customer base to include a wider array of retailers and other business clients while working with our National Sales Manager in supporting existing accounts. This will entail a significant amount of outreach via phone and email plus in-person visits.
This position also involves educating customers with patience and respect, addressing their inquiries through phone, email, and chat, and guiding them to the best solutions—even if it means recommending options outside of Vvolt's offerings.
You’ll also help to develop and staff demo events and engage with walk-in and scheduled demo customers at our SE Portland showroom. We’re a small team and all of us pitch in on projects as needed, so you can expect other opportunities to help your coworkers in a variety of areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development (60%)
Drive B2B sales efforts by establishing and nurturing relationships with retailers and other business clients, ensuring they are well informed about our products and services.
Proactively seek out new business opportunities and partnerships to expand our reach and impact in the electric micromobility market.
Support major account management and assist with inventory and accessory purchasing and management.
  • Customer Experience (40%)
Provide exceptional support to both B2B and DtC customers, resolving inquiries and issues with a sense of confidence and assurance.
Engage with customers in the showroom, offering informative test-ride opportunities and ensuring the space remains clean, organized, and well-merchandised.
Respond to customer and retailer communications across multiple channels, including social media, phone, and email.
Participate in event support for local and national events, and assist with occasional/seasonal duties as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Mission commitment – you have passion for ebikes and compact EVs, and their potential to drive positive societal change
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience is highly desirable
  • You are generally curious about the electric vehicle industry
  • You have excellent customer service skills and general computer competency
  • Strong soft skills - you're an excellent communicator with patience and self-motivation
  • You can lift approx. 50 pounds

A Day in the Life

Success in this position means taking daily responsibility for increased B2B sales, focusing on outbound customer interactions via phone and email. You will also answer inbound B2B and retail customer inquiries, manage retailer communications assets, fulfill small parts orders, and assist customers with test rides in our showroom. You’ll also have frequent opportunities to participate in inventory management, event planning, and major account support. While performing your duties, you should be mindful of how you can help refine processes and systems to further Vvolt’s growth.
This role is primarily based in our Portland office and showroom, with occasional scheduled work-from-home days to maintain productivity. We are open to remote work (up to 100%) for the right candidate.
